A Taste of Coffee 12 Days – departs every 2nd Sunday

Day 1: Havana

Arrival into Havana. Transfer to hotel. (D)

Day 2: Havana

Breakfast in the hotel.  Pick-up at the hotel.  Panoramic visit to the Morro-Cabañas fortress. Walking tour of Old Havana City Historic Center, Cultural Heritage of Mankind; pass by Cathedral Square, the famous bar-restaurant La Bodeguita del Medio and the Plaza de Armas.  Walk along Oficios street up to St Francisco de Asis Square. Visit the Rum Museum to learn about the Havana Club rum producing process and have a taste of it. Continuation of walk along Plaza Vieja and back on Mercaderes street. The tour continues to the Ambos Mundos Hotel where renowned American writer Ernest Hemingway lived. Lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, a panoramic bus tour by Modern Havana: Museum of the Revolution, the Central Park, Havana’s Grand Theatre, National Capitol and famous Restaurant Floridita. Continue along the Malecon sea-front drive to Modern Havana including the Revolution Square and the University campus.  Visit the Cigar store of Hotel Habana Libre. Dinner at a local restaurant. Back to the hotel. Night free. (B,L,D)


Day 3: Havana-Vinales-Havana


Breakfast in the hotel.  Transfer by an air-conditioned bus to Viñales Valley in Pinar del Rio, Cuba’s most western province where the world’s best tobacco is grown.   Exotic landscape with valleys crowded with royal palms, the national tree. Visit a factory of Tobacco in Pínar del Río. On the way to Viñales a visit to “El Paraíso” farm, where you will learn about the lifestyle of local peasants as well as about the growing of tobacco. In Viñales, visit to the Pre-historic Mural (cave painting on the country’s most ancient rocks) and the Indian Cave, boating along its underground river.  Lunch at local restaurant. Stop at Los Jazmines lookout to admire the Viñales Valley. Return to hotel and dinner. Back to the hotel. Night free. (B,L,D)


Day 4: Havana – Cienfuegos-Trinidad

Havana / Cienfuegos/Trinidad

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for Cienfuegos. In-transit visit to “Fiesta Campesina”, first contact with the endemic flora and fauna of Zapata Peninsula. Arrival in Cienfuegos and lunch in local restaurant. Tour of Cienfuegos’ main streets and avenues. Founded by the French, Cienfuegos is located at a wonderful bay guarded by Castillo de Jagua (Jagua Castle) where you can find the largest coral site ever discovered in Cuba that was christened Notre Dame. Visits to: the Marti Park, the Palacio del Valle, the Tomas Terry Theatre, the House of Cultural Assets, and the Purisima Concepción Cathedral Continuation of tour to Trinidad’s Ancon peninsula. Arrival in Trinidad and accommodation in the selected all Inclusive hotel. Night free. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Trinidad

Seafari to Cayo Las Iguanas /Ancon Peninsula.

Breakfast in the hotel and check out. Departure for the Trinidad Marine for a seafari to Cayo Las Iguanas. Welcome cocktail. The boat departure to the coral reef with possibilities to snorkel in the area (gear included). Lunch and free time on the Key beach. Return to the marina and the hotel in the afternoon. Accommodation in selected hotel and night free. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Trinidad – Topes de Collantes

Ancon Peninsula/Trinidad/ Topes de Collantes

Breakfast. Visit to Sugar Mills’ Valley, Mankind’s Heritage for its exceptional beauty. Enjoy the typical cocktail. Panoramic walking tour through Trinidad’s city center, one of the first Cuban villages founded by Spaniards at the beginning of 16 th century, declared Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Visit to a city museum, Plaza Mayor Square, the main parochial church of the Holy Trinity with its luxurious altar decorated with local precious woods and 300 years old images. Visit to Canchanchara bar, where you could taste its famous cocktail founded by mambises (Cuban independence fighters) in 19 th century. Lunch in the private restaurant Tavern El Barracon. Visit to Chichi’s House belonging one of the city’s most famous families Santander. Trip continues to the Natural Park Topes de Collantes. Accommodation and dinner in the selected hotel. Free time. Day 7: Topes de Collantes

Topes de Collantes/Guanayara Excursion

Breakfast in hotel. Departure on special mountain trucks to Guanayara National Park, 15 kms far away from Topes de Collantes. Enjoy the wide variety of endemic flora and fauna, natural pools and the beautiful El Rocio waterfall. A 5 kms. long walk by foot along an extraordinary beauty  trail. Adequate clothes and footwear is required. Optional 500 mts you could go through the river. Creole lunch in the local restaurant La Gallega. Visit to a coffee house to learn about the coffee cultivation process and taste a cup of coffee. Return to the hotel. At night dinner in the local restaurant  Mi Retiro. (B L D)

Day 8: Topes de Collantes- Cayo Santa Maria

Topes de Collantes/Santa Clara/Cayo Santa Maria.

Breakfast in the hotel and check out.  Early departure to Santa Clara. Panoramic tour around the city’s historical centre. Visit to Ernesto Che Guevara’s Mausoleum on the Revolution Square. Lunch in the restaurant La Rosalía. After lunch departure to Cayo Santa Maria with the panoramic transit visit to Remedios city. On the way visit to Marcelo Salado sugar mill and steam locomotives’ museum. Arrival to Cayo Santa Maria and accommodation in selected all inclusive hotel. Dinner. Free time. (B L D)

Day 9 & 10: Cayo Santa Maria

Cayo Santa Maria.

Accommodation in selected ALL INCLUSIVE hotel. Free day (B,L,D)

Day 11: Cayo Santa Maria- Havana

Breakfast in the hotel, check out. Departure Havana and drop off at your hotel.(B)

Day 12: Havana

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
